Resmi verilere göre son bir yıllık enflasyonu %15,39 halkın gerçek enflasyonu ise %40’ın üzerine çıkmış durumdadır. Ülkenin ekonomik durumunu anlamayan yetkili ama etkisiz sendika 2018 yılı için %16 zam istemiş ancak aldığı %4+3,5 (toplamda 7,5) zam resmi ve yaşanan enflasyon rakamları yanında gülünç kalmıştır, 2010 yılından bu yana başta memurlar olmak üzere sabit ücretliler reel zam alamadı.
