Çanakkale Savaşı yıllarını konu alan oyun hem senaryosunu yazan hem de yöneten Sinan Akbaba ve Genel Sanat Yönetmeni Mehmet Alver eşliğinde insanların beğenisine sunuldu.
Ağır şartlar altında, vatan sevgisiyle dolu yüreklerini ortaya koyarak savaşan Mehmetçiklerin ve o dönemde ki insanların yaşadıkları canlandırıldı. Oyun süresince izleyiciler seslendirilen türküler ve ağıtlarla duygu dolu anlar yaşadı.
Oyun sonrası Fakültemiz Dekanı Prof. Dr. Bayram Kaya sahneye çıkarak konuşma gerçekleştirdi. Konuşmasında duvarlarımızda kahramanların olması gerektiğine ve bunun bilincinde olarak unutulmamasına vurgu yaptı. Devamında oyunu yazan ve yöneten Sinan Akbaba’ya teşekkür belgesi vererek, oyunculara da teker teker teşekkür etti.
Akbaba, Tirebolu İletişim Fakültesi öğrencilerine katılımlarından dolayı teşekkür etti. Konuşmasında “1915 yılına 50 dakika da olsa sizleri götürmek istedik. Tek temennimiz yaşananların hiç unutulmaması ve hep hatırlanmasıdır” diyerek sözlerine son verdi. Oyun bitiminde salonda ki seyirciler oyuncuları ayakta alkışlayarak memnuniyetlerini gösterdiler.
