Giresun Üniversitesi Basın ve Halkla İlişkiler Koordinatörlüğünden Mehmet SÖYLEMEZ ve Fatih GÖK eşliğinde lise öğrencilerine Güre Yerleşkesindeki birimlerin tanıtıldığı gezi kapsamında ilk olarak GRÜ Eğitim Fakültesi ziyaret edildi. Burada Fen Bilgisi Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı akademisyenlerinden Arş. Gör. Yasemin HACIOĞLU tarafından fakülte hakkında genel bilgiler verildikten sonra öğrencilere, fen, fizik ve biyoloji laboratuvarları gezdirilerek buralardaki materyallerin kullanım şekli ve yapılan deneyler hakkında bilgi verildi.
Daha sonra Merkezi Araştırma Laboratuvarı Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezini gezen öğrencilere; Uzman Enis TAŞÇI, Uzman Elif APAYDIN, Uzman Fatih ÜNAL ve Kimyager Rıdvan İLGÜN tarafından merkezin işleyişi hakkında genel bilgiler verildi. Farklı uzmanlık alanlarına hitap eden laboratuvarların gezildiği ziyarette çeşitli araştırmalarda kullanılan son sistem cihazlar öğrencilere tanıtıldı.
Merkezi Araştırma Laboratuvarından sonra Mühendislik Fakültesine geçen öğrenciler ve rehber öğretmenleri, Dekanlık devir teslim töreni için burada bulunan Rektörümüz Prof. Dr. Cevdet COŞKUN ile de kısa bir görüşme yapma imkanı buldular. Öğrencilere ve rehber öğretmenlerine ziyaretlerinden ötürü teşekkür eden Rektörümüz, 2006 ve sonrasında kurulan üniversiteler içerisinde Giresun Üniversitesinin önemli bir yere sahip olduğunu, kurulan yeni birimler, artan öğrenci sayısı, elde edilen akademik ve sportif başarılarla adından söz ettirdiğini söyleyerek, üniversite tercihlerini yaparken öğrencilerin bunlara dikkat etmelerinin önemli olduğunu belirtti. Görüşme sonunda rehber öğretmenlere hediyelerini takdim eden Rektörümüz, “Benim oğlum da bu sene üniversite sınavlarına girecek, hem onun için hem de sizler için hayırlısını diliyorum. Önümüzdeki yıl sizleri de burada öğrencimiz olarak görmeyi arzu ediyorum. Umarım istediğiniz bölümlere yerleşirsiniz” diyerek öğrencilere başarılar diledi.
Gezinin bir sonraki ayağında Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesinde Fakülte Sekreteri Kadir MERT tarafından karşılanan öğrenciler, buradaki bölümler hakkında çeşitli bilgiler alırken, Fakülte binasını gezme imkanı da buldular. Ziyaret esnasında Üniversitemizin genel durumu ile ilgili kısa bir değerlendirmede bulunan Öğrenci İşleri Daire Başkanı Doğan TUNÇ, yeni açılan bölümler, kampüs ile denizin iç içe olması, sosyal imkanlar ve barınma konusundaki yeni atılımlarla Giresun Üniversitesinin önemli bir noktaya ulaştığını, tercih yapacak öğrencilerin bunları göz ardı etmemesi gerektiğini belirtti.
Gezinin son bölümünde İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesine geçen Şehit İdris Bolat Anadolu Lisesi öğrencileri, Dekan Yardımcısı Doç. Dr. Kurtuluş Yılmaz GENÇ, fakülte hakkında bilgilendirdi. Fakülte bünyesindeki bölümler, bu bölümlerden mezun olacak gençlere hitap edecek iş sahaları, akademik kariyer planı yapacak öğrencilerin dikkat edecekleri hususlar v.b. konulara değinen Sayın GENÇ, iyi bir kariyer planının doğru tercihle başlayacağını söyleyerek, öğrencilere eğitim hayatlarında başarılar diledi.
